Rue Poncelet is a small market street tucked behind  Paris’ bourgois 19th century haussmann apartment buildings and avenues.
It is one of the best-loved markets in Paris, where colorful vegetable stands look like paintings. Welcoming and friendly, the market offers the best of French products, Whether meat, fish or fresh bread, wine, flowers or coffee, it’s all just in front of the main entrance of n°10 rue Poncelet. The cheese shop “Alléosse” just across the road is reputed one of the finest in Paris. For those who do not waste time in cooking, there many places to eat on the market or take away freshly prepared food .

If you need a coffee break or a bite to eat while watching the Parisians walk by:  the Brasserie “DaDa” on the corner of rue Poncelet and avenue des Ternes is one of the hot spots of Parisian sociéty, just as  the “Café Ponce”, opposite the entrance of N° 10 where I enjoy meeting up with my friends and family. Whatever you need, you will find it in rue Poncelet.
